Split Rail Winery

Split Rail wines were borne from the minds of a new generation of winemakers and drinkers. We are the stampede for local agriculture, the epitome of pleasure and the turning wheels of evolution. We strive to cultivate a vibrant wine culture in Idaho, and bring the farm to your fork (or wine goblet). Our goal is to keep Idaho's lips red and our hair and minds in temporary disarray.

The Winery

We are open to the public from 12PM - 6PM, Wednesday through Sunday. During the summer months of June through August, we stay open until 8PM on Fridays.

Wine Tasting

Wine tasting during regular business hours is first come, first served. We offer a tasting bar and large family-style tables and sitting areas that guests share. Wine tasting is $7/person and that fee is waived with individual bottle purchases. We currently offer wine tastings, and consumption of both glasses and bottles on premise. We also have beer on tap for the faint of heart. Come experience our full production winery and tasting room!

Group Reservations

Parties of 8 people or more require a reservation booking in order to allow our staff to set up and provide tasting service. Making a reservation helps prevents overcrowding and ensures that your group is able to taste together. We are not able to accommodate groups larger than 20 persons due to size constrains of our space. The following terms apply to group reservations.

  • A group booking fee of $10.00 per person applies to everyone accompanying the group. The group booking fee does not apply toward purchases.

  • The group booking fee must be paid for a minimum of 8 guests with a single credit card at the time of reservation and any additional members to your group will be charged on the day of your visit. No-show groups will not be refunded.

  • Reservations will be held for up to 15 minutes after the time reserved. During busy weekends, we need to keep our limited seating available to walk-in guests. Please try and reserve at least 24 hours in advance. Availability for groups is limited.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service if your group appears to be intoxicated.

  • If an individual or group behavior is detracting to other customers, you will be asked to leave.

  • No outside alcohol is permitted.

Let us host your next private party, reception, or holiday event! We offer private parties after hours, private tastings in our barrel room during regular business hours, and we now offer vendor pricing if you want to host a group in our space to grow your business. Contact us to gather more details about the next party that you want to have at our venue.

Seeking a Donation?


  • We currently offer once a month Wine Not Give donation events at the winery, that occur the first Wednesday of each month. These events allow us to host your non-profit organization and give 30% of proceeds raised that evening to your cause.

  • Our Wine Not Give Donation events are currently booked out for the rest of the year for 2019.

  • If you’re interested in doing a Wine Not Give event with us in 2020, we will be accepting applications on December 1st of 2019.

  • Requests via phone, email, or drop ins to our Tasting Room will not be accepted.

  • If you are seeking a donation, you must have a current 501(c)3 tax exempt status and be located within the Treasure Valley. We DO REQUIRE 501(c)3 documentation.

  • Your request must be submitted at least 30 days prior to your event.

  • If you are requesting product as a donation to serve at your event (to sell or give away), you must secure a non-profit permit from the Alcohol Beverage Control. Split Rail requires a copy of the approved permit. All permits must be submitted to ABC at least 14 days in advance of the event.

  • Submitting a request does not guarantee a donation. Please understand we cannot honor all requests. If you do not receive a response from us, we are simply unable to provide you with a donation at this time. Thank you for thinking of us!
